Wine Trail

Unfortunately, the trail is NOT dog friendly due to wildlife and passing through multiple private farms.

Licensed premises. No “car-bar”, picnics or outside drinks or food allowed. No bad attitudes or weapons allowed. No illegal substances.

Non-timed event: this is a fun-event. No timing or prizes based on placing will be done. Participants should record their own times, should they desire.

General Information Venue:
This is a magnificently rustic venue located on the banks of the Highveld Crocodile River, so you’ll get to enjoy a spectacular morning out in the country surrounded by friends, beautiful wildlife & morning festivities.  The Rusty Feather will have a special menu available on the day as well as a full bar. Broederstroom Country Market will include some food and beverage vendors too.

Route – the Harties Hiking Trail 6km route is a relatively easy, there-and-return route, mostly on jeep track. It has a moderate incline to the turnaround point and is mostly downhill on the return.

Our ethos is “Take pictures and memories, leave nothing behind except footprints”. Please do not litter on the trail – let’s leave it better than we found it!

There will be No Refunds due to rain or lightning cancellation.
No licence is necessary to take part in the trail
All athletes participate at their own risk
Toilet facilities available at start / finish
Good secure parking available

Late entries on the day will be charged a surcharge per person (subject to availability should the event not be sold out).

Withdrawal, Substitutions, Roll-overs:
All entry fees for the Event are non-refundable / non-transferable under all circumstances permitted by law, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the Event for any reason, including withdrawal of your participation in the Event, or change in the date, nature, or format of the Event.

Refunds and Roll-overs are not permissible due to this being a one-time event, however substitutions are permissible at any time leading up to the event. Kindly ensure you email us on hello@rustyfeather.co.za in order to assist further.

Event may be cancelled or changed due to government directives, severe weather or any other factors that may be considered to threaten the safety of participants, as determined by the Event organiser in its sole discretion. We have always strived to deliver on each & every event but due to the nature of our activities, some natural elements are out of our hands. Unfortunately, there is a no-refund policy on bookings due to rain or lightning.
