Some important things to note as a potential future stallholder (Terms & Conditions):

  • The Broederstroom Country Market is a monthly market taking place on the first Saturday of every month. The running time of the event is typically 10am – 4pm although may move to start earlier or end later depending on season, events and other factors.
  • The number of stall stands is limited and it is up to the venue to decide which stalls will be allocated spaces on market day.
  • We try to maintain diverse categories of vendors (eg jewellery, artwork, plants) at each market day and avoid having too many of one type of vendor at a time. This means that you may be put on a waiting list for when a spot in your category opens up for future markets.
  • Each vendor is responsible for managing their own sales. You need to ensure your tender methods are set up and running smoothly. Note that signal can be an issue during power outages/loadshedding – we recommend having more than one network option to connect to for card machines (ie if Vodacom signal is poor, you can alternate to MTN).
  • Your stall fees must be paid in advance, with your POP in PDF form sent to management to confirm and secure your spot at the market. No stalls will be held without payment. It is your responsibility to verify that you are making payment into the correct bank account, as indicated on your invoice provided.
  • It is expected that confirmed vendors promote and market the Broederstroom Country Market on their own social media and networks leading up to and on the market day in order to boost the market attendance.
  • Applicants who cancel their stall within 1 week of the market date, will forfeit all monies paid over to the market. No-shows on the day result in a cancellation fee and removal from our vendor list. Postponing is only at the discretion of the Management Team and must be done so in writing.
  • This is an open-air market. Each stall is required to bring their own equipment. The stall space is a basic 3x3m or 3x6m ground space for the placement of a small structure. It is up to each tenant to build their own stall and stall holders are to provide all their own equipment (tables, chairs, shade (gazebos, umbrellas or tree cover) etc is NOT provided).
  • Limited stock of gazebos for hire – enquire with market management.
  • Electricity
    • Electricity access only by prior arrangement – limited supply capacity: bring your own extension lead.
    • The organisers, venue or its agents cannot be held liable for any damages or loss of equipment due to power dips, surges or other electricity-related issues. You are responsible for protecting your own equipment with surge protectors or as necessary.
    • Power failures – should there be a power failure, we regret that we can not assist with backup power by generator or other. Being an outlying area, power supply can be unreliable. We will communicate if we expect prolonged power interruptions.
  • Stall spaces must be kept neat and tidy at all times. All equipment, stock, packaging etc must be kept within your designated stall space. The Management team can and will ask you to reorganise or remove equipment that may impact the overall aesthetics, access and/or enjoyment of the market goers negatively.
  • Staff: you must have a staff member present at your stall at all times throughout the market.
  • Stall Positioning: All positioning is subject to the organisers’ final approval and stalls will be moved, if necessary, for the overall interests of the market layout.
  • Stalls must be setup in full before the market start time. Vendors needing to setup trailers must communicate an early setup time is needed to allow access to their space. Pack up may only commence after the market end time or once communicated by the Management Team. Vehicles will not be allowed into the market/grass area except for in the case of trailers, of which, vehicles will only be allowed to deposit or collect trailers once it is safe to do so and only with the go-ahead of the organisers. Your stall in its entirety must be packed up and removed from the venue by venue closing time.
  • Refuse: Stall holders are responsible for their own refuse. Ensure you leave your stall area 100% clean and remove your own refuse along with you offsite. Provide your own bin for customers if your product warrants immediate waste.
  • Weather: from time to time, the organisers may be forced to postpone or cancel the market due to heavy rain or unfavourable weather conditions. In light weather conditions (like sporadic drizzle), the market will be expected to continue – please ensure your stall/product is covered appropriately.
  • Attendance for guests is free and as such, the organisers can not guarantee any particular turnout.
  • We reserve the right to decline any applications for future markets.

Failure to comply with the above may result in losing any monies paid and cancellation of your stall space.
